POST-NATAL YOGA - Sydney, Balmain

Whether you have done yoga before or are new to it our post-natal yoga classes will provide you with the tools to maintain your mental, emotional, relational and physical health in your role as a mother.

Strengthen and stabilise your body
A key focus of post-natal classes is core strength work to restabilise your body. Flexibility is built on strength.

Realign your body to prevent or alleviate tension or injury to your neck, shoulders, hips and back
The physical challenges of lifting, carrying and feeding your new baby can place asymmetric stresses on your body that manifest as tension and even injury to your neck, shoulders, hips and back. Our post-natal yoga classes are structured to help you re-establish balance and learn correct alignment while handling your baby.

Relax, reconnect and rejuvenate
It is difficult for a new mother to find time for herself. Relaxation, centering and rejuvenation is an important aspect of these post-natal classes.

Classes are a community and support for like minded mums.

The babies are present during the classes. Sometimes they can be part of the class, either held in poses if they need a cuddle or as a tool for correct alignment while you hold them.
There is also an opportunity for baby massage - a great time for bonding between you and your baby, as well as a help to relieve wind, and aid in relaxation.
