All levels of student welcome. Casual prices are $18 for 1.5 hr class or $15 for one hour class or by ticket system

Foundation

(COURSE)

Designed for students who are new to yoga . Most physical movements will be learned dynamically with the focus on learning to let the breath move you while remaining stable and relaxed.

Introduction to the principals of yoga including breathing method, loops and spirals, muscle and organic energy, flow, inquiry

Level 1

(COURSE and CASUAL)

•For students who have completed the Foundation course or something equivant level at another school.

•Good start point if you have been away from yoga for a while and are coming back.

• Students will learn Astanga standing series, basic forward bends and back bends and basic finishing sequence. Basic pranayama.

Casual Attendance allowed at classes if there is space

• Foundation Course or Equivalant

• Level 1 orientation/refresher (see below)

Level 0

(OPEN/CASUAL)

This is an open / casual class that works at the same level as the end of a Foundation course. Beginners welcome. The focus is on dynamic movements co-ordinated with breathing, building core strength and relaxation.

Level 1 orientation/

refresher

This is one 3 hour class where we take new students, new students from other schools, or our own students who want a refresher through the basics that are required for Level 1 - the breathing method, the vinyasa method, the gazing method, the bandha method, chanting.

OPEN

This level introduces more complex backbends, handstand, headstand, shoulderstand variations, pranayama, chanting.

Difficult asana are presented with modifications to make them accesible to a wide range of students. No one is forced to do any asana eg. headstands

Seasonal

(COURSE)

8 week courses where the focus of the practice changes each season.

Vinyasa style asana practice, pranayama, chanting and meditation practices.

We work at a level 1-2 level in this class.

Mysore

Students practice at their own pace under supervision - either working on Astanga vinyasa sequences or practices that have been designed specifically for them.

Kids 3-5

30 minute yoga classes for 3-5 year olds that run during the term time.Enrollement is usually by the term

Kids 6-9

One hour yoga classes for 6-9 year olds that run during the term time. Enrollement is usually by the term

Casual attendance if there is space.

 

• 6-9 years old
Mums and Babies Class for postnal mums and babies. Start 6 weeks after birth and continue util babies crawl It is recommended that mothers only start exercise 6 weeks after birth
Prenatal Class specifically for pregnant women • must have completed 1st trimester unless already practicing yoga
